ESG at TIP: Elevating Our Standards in Environmental, Social, and Governance Practices

July 28, 2025

At TIP, our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles goes beyond mere compliance—it’s integral to our mission, vision, and daily operations. We believe that sustainability and diversity aren’t just responsibilities; they’re opportunities to create lasting positive impacts for our stakeholders, our communities, and the world at large. Moreover, our dedication to ESG practices significantly strengthens our reputation and builds trust, particularly in relationships with property owners hosting telecom antennas.

Mission & Vision: Driving Sustainable Change Our mission is clear—to deliver enduring value to our stakeholders by embedding sustainability and diversity into every aspect of our operations and corporate culture. We understand that the telecommunications sector stands at the forefront of technological evolution, influencing global connectivity, innovation, and economic development. This places us in a unique and critical position to lead by example, shaping industry standards and setting benchmarks.

In this fast-moving and rapidly developing industry technological advancement in telecommunications brings both significant opportunities and complex challenges. The increasing demand for high-speed connectivity, data-intensive services, and expanded infrastructure requires thoughtful consideration of resource management, energy efficiency, and environmental impact. By proactively addressing these sustainability concerns, we ensure our growth is responsible and aligned with the global imperative to reduce environmental degradation and combat climate change.

Resource preservation is fundamental in an industry reliant on extensive infrastructure, energy consumption, and rare-earth materials. By renewable energy, waste reduction, recycling initiatives, and sustainable procurement, we ensure our growth does not come at the expense of future generations.

Telecommunications connects diverse populations globally, and our internal culture must reflect this diversity to effectively understand, innovate for, and meet the varied needs of our customers. Cultivating an inclusive work environment encourages diverse perspectives, drives creativity and innovation, and positions our company to better respond to rapid changes and global market shifts.

In essence, embedding sustainability and diversity throughout our business is critical in maintaining a competitive edge, anticipating and adapting to industry transformations, and fulfilling our broader responsibility to society and the planet. By driving sustainable change, we not only position ourselves as industry leaders but also inspire positive impacts that ripple beyond our immediate operational sphere, ultimately contributing to a more equitable and sustainable global telecommunications landscape.

Environmental Commitments | The Road to Net Zero

At TIP, we proudly pledge to become a net-zero emissions business by 2050, aligning our strategy with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This ambitious goal is supported by clearly defined targets, utilising 2024 as our baseline:

  • Renewable Energy: By 2030, we aim to source at least 25% of our energy from renewable sources, significantly reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. Our strategy includes investments in solar, wind, and other renewable technologies, enhancing energy efficiency, and securing partnerships with renewable energy providers.
  • Emission Reductions: Our objective is to reduce Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect from purchased electricity) emissions by at least 25% by 2030.
  • Business Travel: We are committed to reducing Scope 3 emissions from business travel by at least 25% by 2030. This initiative includes promoting remote meetings and virtual collaboration tools, implementing stricter travel policies, encouraging the use of lower-emission transportation options, among employees.
  • Zero-Waste Policy: By 2030, we will implement comprehensive sustainable waste management practices to achieve a zero-waste policy. This initiative prioritises recycling, composting, waste reduction, and responsible disposal of electronic waste.
  • Tenant Carbon Collaboration: We actively engage tenants in efforts to reduce their carbon footprints by facilitating the installation of renewable energy solutions such as solar panels, wind turbines, and battery storage systems.

Social Responsibility | Empowering Our Communities and Employees

Our people and the communities we serve are foundational to our success. TIP is dedicated to creating a positive social impact through specific goals:Community Engagement:
By the end of 2026, every office within our organisation will actively engage with local charities and nonprofit organisations. We are committed to enhancing community relations and social responsibility by dedicating at least one full workday each year to meaningful local projects.

Employee Well-being:
Recognising the critical importance of holistic employee wellness, by 2027, our organisation will ensure comprehensive well-being resources are accessible to all employees. This initiative includes robust mental health support services, and wellness programs designed to promote physical and emotional health.

Employee Engagement:
We aim to maintain high levels of employee engagement by consistently achieving an engagement survey response rate above 60% and an employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) exceeding 20. These metrics help us to gauge and enhance employee satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and continuously foster a culture where team members feel genuinely valued, respected, and inspired to contribute their best work.

Professional Development:
Our commitment to professional growth is exemplified through the expansion of “TIP University,” our dedicated internal learning platform. We will continue to enhance our training offerings and global reach to attract and nurture top talent from around the world. By providing accessible, comprehensive, and up-to-date professional development resources, we empower our employees to grow their careers, enhance their skills, and achieve their personal and professional goals within our organization.
